The Zalakaros Bath<\/strong>, founded in 1965 \u2013 thanks to the developments of recent years \u2013 has become one of the largest baths in Hungary by now, with more than 5000 m2<\/sup> of water surface available to Guests in summer, of which about 1,500 m2<\/sup> of water surface is covered. The spa has been completely renewed in recent years. In besides its therapeutic services, it has become a stronghold of wellness.<\/strong> <\/p>\n

In addition to the unique natural environment and the hospitality of its residents the main attraction of the town is the spa complex, which has a history of more than 55 years.<\/p>\n

The thermal water<\/strong> of Zalakaros is unrivalled in Europe as well, as it is a sodium chloride and hydrogen carbonate thermal water, which can be classified as iodine-bromine thermal water due to its iodide and bromide ion content, and sulphide thermal water due to its sulphide ion content. The water is slightly radioactive and has a high content of metabolic acid. The medicinal water exerts its best effect in the treatment of chronic gynaecological, musculoskeletal and articular diseases, and in the treatment of nervous, cardiovascular and metabolic disorders. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Our hotel is located directly next to the Zalakaros Spa, from the hotel the medical spa and wellness area is quickly and easily accessible.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Zalakaros Spa consists of 2 separate units; the Medical Centre and Adventure Bath awaits the Guests with outdoor pools and various water experiences, while the Indoor Thermal Spa and the Thermal Beach await the Guests with thermal pools.<\/p>\n

The spa uses medicinal and thermal water at different temperatures. The medicinal water is supplied from several wells. The 96 \u00b0C thermal water is used for therapeutic purposes, while the 53 \u00b0C thermal water is used to fill the beach pools. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Those who like demanding bathing can enjoy the renewing effect of the water of Zalakaros in the medical center, in the sitting bath with medicinal water and in the jacuzzi pool with thermal water. The adventure bath satisfies all the needs of wellness-fitness fans. Its indoor hall awaits those who want to relax with an adventure pool, a children’s pool and a multipurpose pool. The irregularly shaped 360 m2<\/sup> thermal water adventure pool with a stretched water mirror features 10 different water attractions: water jet massages, whirlpool, water mushrooms and the wild water stream. <\/p>\n

The multi-purpose sports pool offers Guests the opportunity to swim, do water gymnastics or water fitness in the summer and enjoy all the pleasures of sport. The Zalakaros Spa also offers a variety of attractions for children. An indoor children’s adventure pool helps them to get to know the water and to enjoy a carefree splashing experience: a tipping bucket, mini slide, mini rapids and water mushrooms await the little ones. In addition to the winter and summer services of the water park, there are outdoor pools with a surface area of almost 400 m2<\/sup> of water, directly accessible from the interior. A variety of massages, gargoyles, bubbles, scotch showers and whirlpools make outdoor bathing a real pleasure. The indoor hall features a “Black Hole” slide, a children’s corner with toys and a TV lounge. For sauna lovers, the Finnish, aroma and light therapy saunas and the steam room are a real treat. The indoor bath, open all year round, features sitting pools with medicinal water of different water temperatures (32 \u2013 36o<\/sup>C), a thermal pool open from above and a sauna block.<\/p>\n

The medically supervised spa offers a wide range of treatments to help you recover. Hydrotherapy treatments include weight baths, carbonic baths, 4-compartment galvanic baths and tangentor. Electrotherapy offers a wide range of services; stimulation current, ultrasound and magnetic ring are also used for healing. In the outdoor swimming pool of the spa garden, guests can exercise with the help of a qualified physiotherapist on weekday mornings in good weather. In addition to underwater gymnastics, there is also individual and group physiotherapy. There are children’s pools, family pools and wave pools, while the new slide complex is the perfect place for sliding. For those who love active sports, there is an outdoor swimming pool. Near the children’s pool, there is a playground with a variety of toys for the little ones. At the Zalakaros Spa, the whole family can have fun and recover in one place, in the sophisticated surroundings of the thermal beach without disturbing each other’s rest. <\/p>\n
